Intro to VHF/UHF Comms

Objective: Equip learner with practical knowledge to operate popular UHV/VHF radios effectively while implementing comms security measures and techniques to reduce their radio signature in real-world scenarios.

This introductory UHF/VHF comms course is a two-hour hands-on class that teaches participants how to use UHF/VHF radios for effective communication in personal, tactical, and emergency situations. It covers basic functions, frequency selection, manual and software programming, repeater use, and communication techniques. The course also includes strategies for reducing radio signature and improving security. Participants will practice setting up frequencies, making contact, using repeaters, and handling emergency communications. This course is ideal for those who want to improve their radio skills while maintaining a low profile.
