My father and fiancé joined me in the CCW/Fundamentals of Pistols class. The staff and volunteers were friendly, approachable, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The experience of the other students ranged from those who had never shot a gun before to someone who has taken this class multiple times and was clearly very experienced. I fell somewhere in the middle but left the class feeling way more confident in myself and my gun. This class covers how a pistol works, safety precautions, proper posture, Arizona laws and more. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to become more knowledgeable on pistols. If you’re law enforcement it’s a great repeat of fundamental techniques learned under the AZPOST curriculum and you may learn some new things too - there’s always something to learn and we’re always striving to improve, right? Here’s where the class shines…. If you’re a citizen wanting to learn defensive pistol, force-on-force, and basic room clearing - all tailored to be easily understood and not overwhelming or intimidating - then this is the ideal course for you. The instructors are patient, attentive, knowledgeable, and make the course enjoyable for all, in an easy and fun atmosphere. In addition to all this, it’s especially important to look at the fee of $125 as something easily afforded by all and perhaps one of the few times in life where you get more than what you pay for. The cost seems designed to get anyone who wants training to be able to afford it and the class was a lot of fun. Joel’s personality is great and he mixes his sense of humor in with the curriculum. This is the sort of course a person could take repeatedly as new topics and ideas influence what’s taught. The entire team is amazing. Very knowledgeable, informative, and willing to spend time with an individual to make sure they’re getting the most out of the training. The cost for the course was only $45. For an additional $20 you can add the CCW training. That price for what the offer is quite the deal.If you’re a novice to the world of firearms, then the War Lizard Tactical team is the one you should go with for training. I’ve been training with this group for the past two years, and have taken most of their beginner to advanced classes. It has been an amazing journey to get to this point; it has changed me as an individual and tactician. If you want to better yourself as a person, learn to be more aware and cognizant of the world around you and master your craft, @warlizard_tactical provides some of the best training in the industry. I’ve been shooting since the age 9, and I train at least twice a month live, and every day dry. But without a doubt, they have made me a better shooter, and a more well rounded and capable individual. I have met many amazing people, made incredible friends, and had the privilege to train with great minds, and I will continue to be a lifelong student of the martial art of shooting. Warlizard and their cadre will always be a part of a broad regimen of training for me, and they have been essential for my development to get to the next level. I can tell you from the bottom of my heart that they are genuine people who are passionate about educating the public on safety and effective, real-world, training. Even after you take their more advanced classes, I guarantee you can go back to a fundamentals and still learn something or glean a meaningful insight into your own training; any training scars that you may have. I took the beginner level CCW Pistol Fundamentals Clinic. They teach so much in one day it's amazing. I learned about mindset, how my pistol actually works, tactics, how to carry and manipulate the gun safely, and of course personal direction and advise on how I could improve the mechanics of how I was shooting. They also fingerprint so you can get your CCW if you need it, which I took advantage of. The training is so good that I would say about 1/3 of the class had taken it at least once before, some multiple times. Joel, Micheal and all the RSOs are top notch and provide a friendly, relaxed and safe day. The price of a class was significantly cheaper than the competitors I browsed. However, the level of training and feedback that I have received is priceless.
