This 3-day field course teaches the core skills required to plan, move, and operate as a small team on foot in austere environments. Focused on situational awareness, team coordination, and tactical skills, the course combines classroom instruction with extensive hands-on application in interesting Arizona terrain.

Patrol formations and movement techniques

Team roles and responsibilities

Security halts, observation techniques, and terrain awareness

Camouflage, concealment, and light/noise discipline

Reactions to contact (immediate action drills)

Patrol planning, briefings, and debriefs

Load setup for sustained dismounted operations

Students must have an A2-style birdcage flash hider for BFA compatibility.
- You will come to Tucson and we will get you to the destination location.
No prior tactical experience required—just a baseline of physical readiness and a willingness to learn. The course includes meals and support, but bring your own licky chewies. If you have special dietary needs, you will be required to meet those yourself. We’re eating MREs.
