Advanced Carbine – Low Light Incidents

A defensive, scenario‑driven rifle course addressing violent encounters in low light / no light conditions. This course will show the difficulties of fighting at night. We will cover the importance of a quality light, the debate of handheld vs weapon-mounted lights, and the importance of light discipline. We will cover different ways to use a light with a rifle and how these techniques fold into the techniques we already know about fighting with a longer gun.

Important Info

• Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the class starts. If you are late, we reserve the right to turn you away as a no-show.
• Bring a camp chair or stool.
• You will need up to 300 rounds of FMJ ammo.
• Keep your firearms in your vehicle until you receive instructions from a Range Safety Officer.
• Wear pants with a belt, sturdy athletic shoes or boots, and clothing that will allow you to be reasonably comfortable outdoors. Wear a hat with a bill. You are going to get dirty.
• Bring plenty of water and snacks – you will be outdoors.
• Bring a sling and mag carriers. If you want to run your battle belt, do it. Minimum: rifle, sling, and 5 mags
• If the weather is inclement, we WILL train. If the weather is dangerous, we delay.
• The end time is flexible.
