Advanced Carbine – Night Operations

This course delves into the unique challenges of operating in noise and light discipline, while building on the skills you have acquired in the defensive carbine courses. You will learn:

• Noise and Light Discipline
• Light system selection
• Handheld versus WML
• Methods of using your tools and senses to optimize your advantages in the dark
• Night Patrolling concepts
• Integration of previously learned skills into tactics in a low/no light environment.
• Introduction to night optical devices

Bring everything you would bring to an intermediate/advanced level carbine course.

• You will need a handheld and WML. Bring extra batteries.
• Bring 400-500 rounds – we might not use them all, but be prepared to.
• If you have NODs, bring them. If you don’t have NODS, it’s OK.
• Wear clothing that you would be comfortable walking, running, crawling in.
